It’s been a year now since the Fukushima disaster happened. A day Japan will always remember as having the magnitude 9.0 quake, Japan’s most powerful since records began, which also triggered a serious nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
“We shall never forget those who gave their lives in rescue missions”, said by Emperor Akihito, addressing to those who died in the service for their rescue mission duties.
All those story about the tsunami devastation, the more or less 20,000 people dead or missing, the nuclear power plant melt-down, the heroism of those people who tried to prevent the said melt-down in expense of their lives, on how the government and the people of Japan reacts to such tragedy, the sympathies of the whole world… Yeah, it’s been a year now since the Fukushima disaster.
I just finished reading a news regarding a father who was saved by his babys’ birth on the day a tsunami hit Fukushima, Japan as posted in yahoo titled: “Party for baby whose birth saved father from Japan tsunami“. That’s a good news for a busy and stressful day in the office.
But when I started reading the comments especially from those netizens here in the Philippines, I just became depressed on how these people reacted on a rare news that should give us all a great and happy day, for it is all about on how a father, a man survived and how he cope in this kind of tragedy that hit their country. And what worries me the most is the way on how this so-called Filipino Christians view and react on such event, especially this comment that came from someone who’s SN Name is “JESUS SAVES!“, from Angeles City, Central Luzon, “Let us remember that every tragedy is cause by SIN, God knows and punish when people do evil and forget Him. Japan need Christ.”
In that kind of comment? All I can say is “Disturbing, insensitive and disrespectful!“.
Look at that comment! Who in the world would post that kind of a comment that says it’s “a” gods’ way to punish people when they do or became “evil and forget Him“?! First of all, that person don’t have the right to judge someone to be punished or even perished due to religious differences or they don’t believe in this Christian god. Just because majority of the people in japan didn’t worship their god, that so-called “good, loving and just” god had the right to punish those people without knowing if they really do bad things or because they worship a different god?! WTF! That’s an un-godly act for such a revered good and loving god then! Didn’t that person taught by his pastor, minister or a priest not to judge others just like what the bible said;
“1 Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you,2 for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others.3 Why, then, do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the log in your own eye?4 How dare you say to your brother,
Please, let me take that speck out of your eye, when you have a log in your own eye?5 You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will be able to see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” – Matthew 7 : 1 – 6 , Good News Translation
That came from his book, the Bible, a book revered by Christians, the source of their and his belief in an existence of a god, the source of their moral values and ethics. And what the verse in that book just simply says “Don’t judge them, look at your self first! Let them be and Back off!!” If they worship other gods then respect it! Don’t judge them for that childish fairy tale point!! Don’t make such an insolent comment using the name of some imaginary sky daddy, just to make his point that his god is real and the others are not, so to justify that it is right for those people to be punished because they doesn’t worship his god.
Secondly, with that kind of irresponsible comment lurking in the net, it will surely post questions like “is this god really good, great and just?” to those who are searching for some religious solace who are not yet Christians. Then that god is no different from the Islamic god at all! A violent god indeed!
And Lastly, due to that post, that person gave a hint to everyone that his god is not really a just god. All we need to do is to read the news, know the whole event. Many perished, children, the elderly, just almost everyone. I’ll just ask, how can be a so-called “just and loving” god be a just and loving god if that deity punished even those children? They’re just kids, toddlers? Is it a just act for punishing even those innocent kids? It contradicts then to what they proclaims that their god is a loving father!!
So if there really is such god that, that person name “JESUS SAVES!” proclaimed and worshiped then, I’d be thankful and happy to my self for being an atheist and not believing on such deity rather than worshiping and proclaiming that kind of unreasonable and violent god.
SHAME ON YOU!!! @”JESUS SAVES!”
